Ranking Algorithm

QuadSearch operates by retrieving up to four separate result lists produced by its component engines (Google, Yahoo!, Live Search and Ask) according to your preferences. It then merges these separate lists into one larger list and reorganizes the results to achieve robust ranking.

Parameters Selection

	Define the preference threshold as percentage of the number of the requested results per engine ( ).
	Define the veto threshold as percentage of the number of the requested results per engine ( ).
	Define the concordance threshold as percentage of the number of the selected component engines ( ).
	Define the discordance threshold as percentage of the number of the selected component engines ( ).

Domain Analysis

Determine how the engine should treat multiple different results having the same domain name. (Note: The domain overfeed filter blocks these results, whereas this extension gives them a lower ranking if the domain overfeed filter is inactive).

		Define the weight for multiple results having the same domain name.
		Define the weight for multiple results that appear under subdomains of the same domain name.
